Community Theatre is a type of social work through theatre, created in Argentina in the 1980’s. It aims to the integration of the Community using artistic activities like acting, music, dance, the making of costumes and sceneries. It is based on the integration among different generations and on the idea of recovery of collective memory through specific techniques and exercises and the involvement of actors, musicians and other professionals of performing arts who provide their experience to the Community.
The project of creating the Community Theatre Group in Pontelagoscuro was conceived and coordinated by Antonio Tassinari and Cora Herrendorf, with the contribution of Natasha Czertok, Andrea Bartolomeo, Davide Della Chiara and other actors of Teatro Nucleo.
